CDM 2007 Designer
The Designer module is aimed at Architects and Consultants as defined by CDM 2007 approved code of practice (ACOP).

The software has been created from the designer's perspective to aid them in their duties under the CDM 2007 regulations without creating unnecessary paperwork. The program is faithful to the revised CDM regulations in trying to encourage the designer to think about the inherent risks in a project. Whilst we provide extensive guidance for the creation of risk assessments the primary goal is for the software to provide an audit trail to show the designer has fulfilled their obligations in hazard elimination and risk reduction.

The primary components and software are as follows:
 
Project details and appointments
Capture the key details of the project for automatic inclusion in notifications and risk assessments

Notifications
The notification section allows the user to generate standardised client letters to advise of competence and inform the client of their obligations under the regulations.

Risk assessments
The risk assessment section follows the Eliminate, Reduce, Inform or Control methodology to prompt the user to consider the most common hazards. Extensive guidance is available on specific subjects for the creation of detailed risk assessment documents. Each risk assessment is linked to the appointments register so those companies involved to whom the risk relates are automatically included in the circulation of the documents related to risk assessment.

Documents register
Where a risk assessment has related drawings and technical information with the documents are imported into the documents register and links to risk assessment. When the risk is reviewed the documents are included in the circulation list.

Meetings
The meetings module provides a mechanism for tracking when, where and who reviewed the risks for the project. Minutes from a review meeting can be linked to the project and archived as part of the audit trail.

Reports
All notifications Risk assessments and reports can be generated as PDF files and automatically e-mail distribution list. This is a key benefit of the software saving the user a great deal of time and money.

Archive
At the end the project all reports, related drawings and guidance are archived a single folder. This can be copied to CD and forwarded to the CDM coordinator.
